Rental Desk Executive (Senior/Managerial): FilmPlus London requires a highly organised and motivated Rental Desk Executive to work in our thriving photographic and video equipment hire department. Candidates will need excellent communication skills, and importantly the ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure and focus on the job at hand. FilmPlus London is a thriving rental company specialising in stills and motion equipment hire, and based within Loft Studios, our sister company with 6 studio spaces in Kensal Green, NW10.

About you:

  • You should have at least three years’ previous experience in a similar position
  • An extensive knowledge of the professional photographic industry, including all aspects of pro digital and lighting
  • The ability to troubleshoot under pressure and advise clients on lighting and digital rigs is a necessity
  • Administration experience
  • You will be confident and able to initiate sale leads to grow the department further


  • Management experience
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Mac, PC`s and Microsoft Office is essential, any additional software knowledge is an advantage
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

Main Duties:

  • Liaising with photographers, agencies and production companies via phone, email and in person
  • Booking in rental equipment lists, advise, quote, confirm and invoice jobs
  • Co-ordinate with in-house studio, events and Ibiza teams to ensure a smooth operation
  • Be responsible for leading the rental team and head regular team meetings
  • Initiate sales
  • Maintaining client relationships

Freelance Studio Assistants: Loft Studios requires freelance studio assistants to join our team. The successful applicant must enjoy the challenge of working in a busy studio environment, be self motivated, enthusiastic, outgoing, have excellent communication and organisational skills, be fully prepared to work hard, long hours and be able to keep a cool head in high pressure situations.Tasks within this role will include: liaising with photographers and their assistants, helping to setup & breakdown lighting and grip equipment, cleaning studios, and painting, maintaining studio’s on a daily basis, taking breakfast and lunches to and from studios.This is a physically demanding role and you must be available to work weekends and some overtime.
